MEET THE LEGENDS! BLACKBART From Casnewydd-Bach, Wales Bartholomew Roberts went to sea at a young age. He became a skilled navigator, and fell into piracy through chance - the ship he served on was captured by pirates, and he was forced to join their crew. Initially a reluctant pirate, Bartholomew eventually embraced his new life with enthusiasm, working his way through the ranks. He became the captain of a large fleet. He rightfully earned a reputation for bravery and toughness, along with a second nickname - ‘Pistol Proof’. He will happily put himself in harm’s way to protect his crew, and even if he’s down, he’s not necessarily out...

MEET THE LEGENDS! CAPTAIN TINTO From La Rioja, Spain Alfredo Tinto was born to a poor farming family. Although his hometown was thoroughly landlocked, his grandfather used to tell him of his life as a merchant on the seas. Inspired by both his grandfather’s tales and his dislike of farming, Tinto set out for the coast to find work on the ocean waves. Charismatic and ambitious, Tinto quickly (and quite literally) learned the ropes, with his quick wits making him an invaluable addition to the crew. He eventually became captain, and now sails the Caribbean seas looking for plunder.

MEET THE LEGENDS! BLACKBEARD From Bristol, England Despite being born to a wealthy family, the man who would become known as Blackbeard was dissatisfied with the life he had been born into. Longing for adventure, he abandoned his name and inheritance for a life of piracy, far across the seas. He cultivated a terrifying persona, tying explosives into his massive beard and wielding his sword and guns with deadly skill. Always happy to sacrifice personal safety for an impressive explosion, Blackbeard is a deadly and terrifying ally.

MEET THE LEGENDS! CAESAR From The Ivory Coast, West Africa Caesar was once a Prince of a West African tribe, before being kidnapped and held prisoner. Using his intellect and ingenuity, he used the materials in his cell to craft makeshift weaponry. Not only did he escape from his cell, he defeated his captors, taking their ship and crew. Enjoying his freedom, Caesar and his inventions became legendary across the seas. He currently wields a prototype flamethrower and jetpack, and isn’t afraid to use it!

MEET THE LEGENDS! JEANNE DE BERRY From Marseille, France Born into the ancient and noble line of de Berry, Jeanne troubled her aristocratic family with her explosive temper. The de Berrys were always quite happy to add to their own riches at the expense of others, but whereas the traditional de Berry way was to triumph through political manipulation, Jeanne preferred the flash of the blade. Jeanne came to loathe her family, and set out to find her fortune on the waves with a smile on her face, leaving a burning mansion behind.

MEET THE LEGENDS! CHING SHIH From Guangdong, China Ruthless and cunning, Ching Shih ascended from her humble beginnings to become the leader of one of the biggest pirate fleets in the world. Not content with dominating the seas of the East, Ching Shih has sailed to the Americas to expand her operations. Possessed of an iron will and a singular vision, Ching Shih commands her troops with equal parts fear and respect.

MEET THE LEGENDS! GREENBEARD From Bath, England As the cousin of the notorious Blackbeard, Mortimer grew up both resentful and envious of his rebellious relative. Determined to prove that he could be every bit as intimidating, he grew a massive beard, dyed it green, and took to the seas with a portable mortar cannon. Despite his efforts, he fears that he still remains in the shadow of his more famous cousin, with even his nickname being a parody. He continues to sail the seas, looking to plunder his way into infamy.

MEET THE LEGENDS! CORNELIUS HESTON From Hull, England Cornelius served for many years on a merchant ship, regularly crossing the Atlantic ocean. One journey met a tragic end when a storm tore the ship apart. Cornelius washed up on the shore of a deserted island, and awoke to find several apes staring at him. For a long time, the apes were the only friends Cornelius had. He eventually returned to civilisation, with his simian friends in tow. It’s uncertain whether he has trained them, or if they have trained him...

MEET THE LEGENDS! ANNABELLE LEVAUX Origin Uknown There are two things that define Annabelle Levaux: she is mysterious, and really, really grumpy. She had settled for a quiet retirement, training bright-eyed priestesses and witch doctors, and enjoying the company of her pet snakes, Henri and Louis. However, after seeing her trainees return from their adventures often worse for wear, she has decided to once again go out into the field to demonstrate to them the true power of voodoo!

MEET THE LEGENDS! MACK MCKRAKEN From Peebles, Scotland Mackenzie McKraken was born into a hardworking merchant family. Realising that his son would never settle into the life of a merchant, Mack’s father encouraged his interest in engineering, buying books and tools. At the age of 15, Mack travelled to Edinburgh and Leith, and became apprenticed to a shipwright. A workplace accident resulted in Mack losing his hand, but he crafted an ingenious claw mechanism to take its place. He currently sees himself less as a pirate, and more of a ‘wealth re-distribution technician’.

ROMEO BOOMER From Bakewell, England Although Romeo will often tell people how he left behind his fabulous estate in the rolling English countryside for a life of adventure on the seas, Romeo isn’t actually a member of the landed gentry. Born ‘Barney Smith’, Romeo was the son of a butler who served an English Lord. He watched and learned the ways of the aristocracy, and headed out across the seas where he could reinvent himself as a dashing pirate captain.

MEET THE LEGENDS! SADIE THE GOAT From New York, United States of America Sadie Farrell is a New York girl, born and bred. She started her career as a street thief, with her signature move being a vicious headbutt before relieving her victim of their valuables. She later started practicing piracy on the Hudson river, terrorising well-to-do New Yorkers with her stolen boat. In recent years, Sadie was given a goat named Frank, in tribute to her nickname of ‘Sadie the Goat’. She set out to warmer waters and, having trained Frank in the fine art of headbutting, Sadie will charge into battle with both guns blazing.

MEET YOUR CREW! THIEF SWIFT, SILENT AND DEADLY Like all good thieves, stealth is her middle name. She has a love for anything shiny, stealing the enemy's gold to fill her pockets.

MEET YOUR CREW! GUNNER RUN AND GUN! Armed to the teeth with two deadly flintlocks, the Gunner targets enemy defenses with such detail and precision it's awe-inspiring.
